A Good Deed Is Never Overlooked

As I was walking home from work earlier yesterday afternoon, I saw a car stuck on the ice. I quickly went over to offer my help pushing the woman’s car out. After a few tries, her son (I think) and I were able to get the car off the ice. They thanked me, and I was just glad to help.

I’m not trying to boast here, let me finish my story. Later in the evening, after a long 5 hours of Christmas shopping, I was driving my uncle’s car back to my street. I pulled into the nearest parking spot…

…and then the car tires became stuck.

My sister and I tried several ways to get the car out– from salting the area under the tires to pushing the car with another car–it seemed like nothing would work. After 20 minutes or so, 3 guys who were walking home offered to help us push the back of the car.

We were free!

I think this goes to show us that good deeds are always returned at some point or another. At least for me it is. :)
