I’ve always enjoyed this time of year; each day in December felt like it had a light, joyful step to it. People were friendlier, the night was filled with tasty hot chocolate, and Christmas songs filled your ears . Streets, stores, and sidewalks were decorated with Christmas lights, wreaths, bows, animals, and plenty of lovely trees. People would go to and fro dressed as if snow would come down any moment. And it did in New Jersey! At least, on the 19th it did (6 or more inches of snow!). The Christmas tree glowed a bright red and white. Lights hung from the ceiling, wrapped along the stairway, and hugged the window panes.
Christmastime is over, but the feeling will always stay close to my heart. As long as I still believe in the magic of the season, so too will my future Christmases be bright.
HAPPY NEW YEAR‘S!
2009 is out and 2010 is in! Another year to start afresh; another year of memories, of opportunities, of new friends, and (hopefully) love.
I’m wishing YOU a very Happy New Year’s! May all your New Year dreams come true. Cheers to 2010!
